The Workshop on Taiwan Urban Sustainability Research Retrospective and Prospective, hosted by the Future Earth Taipei Urban Working Group, convened by Distinguished Professor Shu-Li Huang and Professor Dr. Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao as the consultant, was held on 23 January 2021 with 24 experts in total in the Environmental Change Research Center of Academia Sinica in Taipei. Before this workshop was held, the convener Huang and Consultant Hsiao, together with Professor Sue-Ching Jou, Professor Keng-Ming Hsu, and Professor Tsung-Chen Lee, had conducted pre-conference preparations, and Jou, Hsu, Huang, and Lee were the conveners of the four emerging topics. After the workshop, a report was edited and reviewed by all the participants of the workshop and was also submitted to the Ministry of Science and Technology. This report made public here, which will serve as the basis for follow-up related research plans and international exchanges of Taiwan's experience.
