The Health working group of Future Earth Taipei and Future Earth Global Secretariat Hub Taipei jointly organize this webinar on February 22, 2022. Dr. Ilan Kelman, Professor of Disasters and Health at University College London, England and Professor II at the University of Agder, Kristiansand, Norway, will present the research examines how volunteer-based, local environmental groups in Toco, Trinidad and Sitka, Alaska respond to climate change and its health impacts through local, collective action. As local interests and disinterests with respect to health and climate change emerge, the work is placed within wider, more global contexts.

In this webinar, Dr. Ilan will also share how to organize an international team and identify the interesting and worthy of study issues that meet the goal of international academic organization, like Belmont Forum. In addition, how is his team working on the project smoothly and to achieve the research goal during COVID-19 epidemic years.
